General Chronology of the Renaissance:


The Renaissance, as a historical and cultural period, spanned approximately the 14th to the 16th century, connecting the Middle Ages with the Modern Age in Europe. 

(*) 14th Century: Beginning of the Renaissance in only some areas of Italy, with a focus on the recovery of classical culture, a product of the wave of Greeks arriving in Italy in the face of the decline and imminent fall of Byzantium.
(*) 15th Century: Development of the Early Renaissance, with Florence (Quattrocento) as its main center.
(*) 16th Century: The High Renaissance, with an artistic and cultural flourishing in Italy (Cinquecento) and the subsequent spread of the movement throughout Europe.
(*) 17th Century: Marked the end of the Renaissance, with the rise of Mannerism and the Counter-Renaissance.
