The Bernward Column is a bronze work made in 1020 for St. Michael's Church in Hildesheim, Germany, and considered a masterpiece. We see a fragment of the column where Christ performs the miracle of the wedding in Canaan, where there is a play of perspectives; what we see from above is also shown from the front, the essence of Cubism!... a thousand years ago.
