Guy Debord in 1967 wrote a key book “The Society of the Spectacle” -It has 221 theses distributed across 9 chapters- in which he explains:
1. People have stopped relating to reality, experience is replaced by the contemplation of images.
2. First we went from Being to Having & now we have gone from Having to Seeming.
3. In the spectacle everything is unified in a permanent script (news, football, etc.) that captures the free time of the workers.
