Fred`s Egg: The essence of Deep Painting

Fred’s Egg: Returning to the topic of Deep Painting and considering an everyday process, such as cracking a boiled egg, what we do is “sink” the frontal plane, moving it from the shell to the image we see. This is the essence of Deep Painting: the displacement of the plane (inward and outward, diagonally or parallel, totally or partially) provides us with an epistemic gain (we know more about the object). This refutes the idea that visual knowledge is superficial, at least in two aspects: the obvious one, since we can go beyond the surface, and the other being that by displacing the plane we can perceive and recognize the internal constitution of objects.
